Job Description:

TASKS
• Provide advice, guidance and coordination efforts for test strategies and plans, selection of automated testing tools, and identification of resources required for testing.
• Establishing software testing procedures for unit, system, integration and regression testing with emphasis on automating the testing procedures.
• Lead development of test plans, test scripts and test data.
• Plan, organize, and schedule testing efforts for large systems, including system, integration, regression, stress and volume and user acceptance tests .
• Participate in functional and technical design reviews.
• Perform system, integration and regression tests.
• Verify test results.
• Identify and document software defects.
• Participate with other project resources to resolve defects.
• Report on progress of testing.

The ideal candidate will have::
  • a college diploma or university degree in an IT discipline
  • a minimum 10 years experience within the last 12 years in the management of application quality and testing
  • demonstrated in-depth knowledge of application quality control and testing methodologies and practices
  • knowledge of IT trends and practices
  • a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or formal training in Project Management from a recognized institution, at the discretion of the House of Commons
  • the capablity of communicating verbally and in writing in both official languages
